The Woodgate & District Residents Association (WDRA) recently upgraded storage at the Community due to increasing number of groups using the spaces on an ongoing basis.
Improvements included:
- $2,500 was spent on new shelving for the storage room to accommodate exercise equipment.
- A double cupboard was erected in the office area to house the 100 chair covers available for hire.
- WDRA archived material was moved from the storage room to the office to enable the WILD Home School Group to utilise the locker.
- A $1,000 Federal Grant purchased a lawn locker which has been placed at the rear of the hall.
Money left over from the purchase of the locker was spent on gardening tools, a blower and gurney (for hall maintenance) to assist the volunteer garden group.
The storage room is now more functional and all groups hiring the hall have allocated storage areas that are being well maintained.
