Parks & Gardens

One of the WDRA’s aims is to help revitalise and maintain Woodgates public parks and gardens in collaboration with Bundaberg Regional Council.

If you like gardening, our volunteer landcare and garden projects might be for you! Volunteers are required to become a WDRA member, at a cost of $5 for life, to be covered by our volunteer insurance.

WDRA is a registered Voluntary Work Organisation.

The aim of this project is to restore the 8th Avenue walkway and surrounding bushland to its natural state.

Volunteers assist by removing weeds, invasive vines and introduced domestic plants. Through ongoing annual spraying and maintenance, we aim to break the cycle of weed germination and ensure natural grasses and vegetation have opportunity to recover.
